![]() Arthur, Rhiannon’s older brother who is also their tribe’s first warrior, leads a party to try to rescue her but they arrive too late and Arawn, the Demon King, is resurrected. Rhiannon, priestess of the Gale Tribe, is kidnapped by a priest from the Holy Empire who plans on using her as a sacrifice in his ritual for summoning a demon. The cast of Tears to Tiara (2/5th of whom are married to Arawn) Ignoring the porn that it’s associated with does this cartoon manage to stand on its own, or is it just a gimmicky premise that’s not allowed actually use it’s gimmick on Television (It’s gimmick is sex). WATCH TEARS TO TIARA ENGLISH DUBBED FULLAt twenty-six episodes long it’s a pretty full series. Sentai Filmworks licensed it in North America very soon afterwards. Getting back on track Tears to Tiara premiered in 2009 and was produced by a fairly new studio White Fox (this seems to be their first series). And not the good type of shocking like “Oh man, that was awesome” but more like the “F**k, now I need a goddamn drink” type of shock. Still to go through the whole show only to find out that it has ties to a game where cartoon girls, several of whom must be underage, are getting sexed up by the main character was shocking. I would assume the main reason for this is that technically the show is based on the non-porn Playstation 3 remake that came out a few years later. Remember that I try to keep myself from doing any major research about an anime I’ve never seen before until I finish watching it so believe me when I say the cartoon had nothing to make me think that its source material was pornographic in nature. What do I mean by “adult”? Well as far as I can tell by “adult” I mean “porn”. As far as I can tell Tears to Tiara was originally a tactical role playing game…an adult tactical role playing game. Now I’ve reviewed a few anime based on video games in the past but this case is a little different. ![]() WATCH TEARS TO TIARA ENGLISH DUBBED SERIESI have never played the video game the series is linked to, but this story is very entertaining.I recently watched, then re-watched a show called Tears to Tiara. The music is both thrilling and touching. ![]() The action of the series is great with some spectacular sword fighting and a handful of magical elements. Other interesting links to legend are the fact the series mostly takes place at Avalon castle (no Camelot) and real clans including the Gaels and Brigantes are heavily involved. The story between Lucifer/Arawn and the White Spirits is very intriguing as it totally recasts the image of Lucifer as a protagonist and hero as well as the reasons for his fall from Heaven and his holy war against the angels. Beyond that, much of the story involves fights with the "Divine Empire" (stand-in for Rome) and later against the White Spirits. The timing of the "present" events also seems to mesh with Arthurian legends that place his life around the time of the late-Roman era Britain (Albion in the series). Much of the story's elements and characters are also linked to ancient Welsh legends as indicated by Lucifer's common name of Arawn and his meeting of the elf king Pwyll thousands of years prior to the story's main events. Tears to Tiara is a very interesting take on both the legend of the man who would become King Arthur AND Lucifer. ![]()
